Hayes.  ISBN 0-85131-31044-3.  Hard cover, 359 pages including Index.  Red cloth with gold lettering and illustration on spine; very light corner and spine end wear; binding sound.  Dust jacket with price intact has light edge and cover wear, some creasing; old waster mark at bottom of rear flap fold with a bit of red transfer.  Penic erasure on FEP; remainder of interior clean and unmarked with one straightened corner bend; black & white frontis of author; 70 illustrations; fox spots on top and bottom page block.  ‘This work, considered by many as one of the most important contributions to Dressage riding, consists of succint (sic) instruction based on the author’s experience of sixty years’ serious study and hard practical work among horses.  The author was considered the greatest rider of his time.’ (from front panel)
