Grosset & Dunlap, New York, 1923.  Hard cover, 321 pages.  Very good for age; maroon boards with embossed gilt lettering and decoration on front board, gilt lettering on spine somewhat faded.  Boards show light shelf wear; some small marks on front board; corners are lightly bumped with a touch of fraying at one corner; spine ends show some wear and a bit of fraying with a small tear to cloth at spine bottom.  Binding sound with all pages secure.  No jacket.  Evidence of small label removed from front paste-down and some erased pencil, front fly removed.  Interior pages are clean and unmarked, pages lightly tanned; some straightened corner bends; a bit of age spotting.  Both pastedowns show age spotting, with rear also having pencil erasure.  Outer page block has age spotting and tanning with a touch of soil at bottom near fore-edge.  Illustrated with full-page black & white drawings and colour frontis by Mabel Betsy Hill.  A collection of 28 fairy tales and stories for children.
