Harper & Brothers, New York, 1911, probably ex-library.  Hard cover, 130 pages.  Blue boards with darker blue illustration and lettering on front and spine; boards show some cover wear and soil, edge, corner and spine end wear with bits of board exposed and a touch of fraying.  Numbers inked at bottom of Contents page near gutter with some transference onto opposite page and evidence of paper removal from rear paste-down, but no other library identifiers present; remainder of interior clean and unmarked with tanned pages and occasional smudge; some age spots, small loss to top corner of last page; all four black & white illustrations by Peter Newell present.  ‘An approved selection arranged for home and supplementary reading in the third grade’.  Stories include:  Little Snowdrop; Cinderella, or, The Little Glass Slipper; The Ugly Duckling; Jack and the Bean-Stalk; Beauty and the Beast, and The Sleeping Beauty in the Wood.
