Description

Granada/Mayflower, St Albans, Herts, 1973, believe first printing thus.  ISBN 0-583-12243-4.  Soft cover, 176 pages.  Very good plus; wraps show very light edge wear with some light impressions; short wrinkle at spine top (possibly binding flaw), scrape at bottom spine; light stains on and near rear spine edge.  Binding is tight with no discernible reading creases.  Interior pages clean and unmarked; lightly tanned.  Illustrated with black & white photos.  ‘John du Rose, who has retired from Scotland Yard after 39 years of service, was instrumental in smashing the Messina vice ring, then himself led the police war on the Richardson gang and the Kray gang.  He was responsible for investigating the murders of the six prostitutes whose naked bodies were dumped in various parts of London.  This is his side of the story, in his own words.’ (from rear wrap)
