Printed by Impressions, St. Thomas, 1983.  ISBN 0-9691133-0-7.  Trade soft cover, 187 pages.  Illustrated wraps show some edge and cover wear, light reading crease along front hinge; binding sound.  Spine shows a bit of wear; a few spots on rear wrap.  INSCRIBED BY MARGARET ARKINSTALL to prior owner on first page; remainder of interior clean and unmarked.  Illustrated with black & white photos and a map.  History of Hearst, Ontario and surrounding area.   ‘The contents of this book were compiled and written by Dr. Margaret Arkinstall and Elizabeth Pearce from letters written by Dr. William Arkinstall and Margaret (Gretta Mustard) Crookes, an Epic written in 1941 by G. Watt Smith M.A., D.D. (Dr. Margaret’s father) and newspaper clippings.  The chapter on the Mennonite Settlement was written by John Enns.  The cover was designed and drawn by Lee Anne Pearce, grand-daughter of Gretta Crookes.’ (from Preface)
