Brown cloth with colour paste-on illustration and embossed colour decorations; wear to all edges with some fraying and board exposed, some stains and soil; age spotting on outer page block. Illustrated end papers with front and rear hinges split, text block secure to spine. Sepia frontis with tissue guard intact and all other illustrations by C. W. Jefferys present.
