Gilt lettering on front and spine, spine lettering a bit faded; library numbering on spine. Corners and spine ends bumped and worn; boards show some soil, wear and rubs; small losses to cloth along upper and lower edges and spine ends; some fraying. Binding cracked in areas with all pages secure although FEP a little loose. Black & white frontis; small neat numbers on copyright page. Stamp on FEP and top margin of p. 99; date slip on rear end paper; pocket and card on rear paste down plus some pencil notations. Small loss to lower corner of FEP and two pages have upper fore-edge tears. Pages are unmarked, lightly tanned with light age spotting and occasional thumb smudge; occasional short edge tear. Illustrated with black & white photos and plans.
