Description

The Boys and Girls House, Public Library of Toronto, Canada, no date but Introduction dated June, 1927 and prior owner’s name and date of 1927 in pencil on front end paper, thus believe 1st ed.  Hard cover, 290 pages.  Green cloth with faded gilt stamped lettering on front and spine; edge, corner and spine wear with small losses to cloth and a bit of fraying; some spots on boards, spine darkened; old damp stain on rear board and rear end paper, but did not enter further.  Binding is sound with all pages secure; no jacket.  Interior pages lightly tanned; one pencil notation on p. 23; remainder of interior clean and unmarked with occasional age spot/smudge.  Books are listed by author, title, publisher and price at time of publication, and some have a brief description of content.  Title Index and author are listed at rear of book.  Edited by Lillian Smith, Head of the Boys and Girls House; Introduction by George H. Locke, Chief Librarian.
