Brown cloth over boards showing heavy edge and cover wear and some rubs; boards exposed at corners, some small losses to cloth along edges. Spine covered with maroon tape extending an inch onto front and rear boards and onto front and rear paste-downs. Front hinge cracked; portrait frontis of John Thomas. Gift inscription dated 1929 on FEP. Interior pages are tanned; underlines – some sections heavily, and some margin notes. Binding cracked at last page of Index. All pages are secure.
