Description

Grosset & Dunlap, New York, 1926 (believe circa 1932).  Hard cover, 216 pages followed by ads.  Red cloth with a touch of soil on boards; corners bumped and worn with a bit of fraying; spine ends bumped with wear and tiny losses to cloth; green top stain, faded splash mark and age spotting on outer page block; no jacket.  Binding sound with a very slight lean.  Illustrated end papers with prior owner’s name and date of 1935; remainder of interior clean and unmarked; some age spotting, some faded splash marks in fore-edge margins of some pages, small bottom edge tear on p. 59; some straightened dog ears; black & white frontis.  Illustrated by Walter S. Rogers.  Roy and Teddy meet their father at the train station, and while there, all three horses are stolen.  They also meet two girls coming to visit at a neighbouring ranch.  The boys have a good idea who is responsible for the horse thefts as well as cattle rustling at local ranches and set about to deal with it.
